Initial information for teams, individual competitors and referees.
You cordially are invited to compete at the 2008 Annual Shanghai International Touch (Rugby) Tournament. Following the fantastic success of our previous events we are seeking entries from all teams or individuals interested in competing at this event.
Teams from across Asia are coming including reps from New Zealand, and we are expecting an exciting mix of local and international sides to turn out. A training session will be held on the Friday for those that are interested.
This year’s tournament is to be played at the JiangWan Stadium with the finals played under lights – http://www.kic.net.cn/kic/eng/kic_sport.jsp Shanghai is a vibrant and exotic destination and this is a top class facility.
SO GET YOUR ENTRY IN EARLY! FINAL ENTRIES CLOSE 10 OCTOBER2008!
Entries are welcome for all categories, Open, Masters (35+), Women’s, Junior’s and mixed teams (though the final format will be dependent on the mix of the entries). The tournament will be contested under International Touch rules with teams of six players per side. The registration deadline for FULL ENTRY is the 25th of October 2008.
The winning team/s will receive the handsome Shanghai Touch Perpetual Trophy.

Note: Entry Fees and cost includes Tournament entry fee and registration; Field preparation and organization; BBQ dinner and presentation evening; Transport from the Stadium to the after tournament social night; 2008 SITRT T-shirt and cap. Bottled water (Further refreshments and food available at ground for purchase) and A good time!

Invite to Seoul Sept 20

Dear fellow Touchies!
We are getting closer to the third International Touch Seoul and this year we plan it to be bigger and better than before and we very much hope that you will be there, making it happen!
ITS 2008 will take place on September 20 at the Korea Military Academy, Taerung, Seoul S. Korea. We’ll have a big tournament with Men’s, Mixed and Women’s sections, as well as a Junior competition for youngsters aged 7-17 years.
Once again, we are inviting you to get involved and we really hope that you’ll come along, bring your teams and help to make the tournament a massive sporting and social success.
You are cordially invited to register your interest as a team, player, referee, spectator or sponsor.

No Touch Saturday 2 August .

There’s still no touch this Saturday 2nd August and you’ll have to wait till the 9th again for a Saturday run, midweeks are going strong and the heavy warm rain made for a great run this week.
All those who want to go to Seoul for the tournament below is the invitation we recieved, you can check the website for more info. We need starters for this comp so get your mates charged up and let us know who is coming. 10-12 people is all thats needed.

Touch Rugby in Shanghai

Touch Rugby is still active and going well in Shanghai. There is no Spring League as such this year but look forward to a possible Autumn League in the build up to the Shanghai International Touch Comp.
Currently Touch is played at Jinqiao at 3-5pm on a Saturday. Things are starting to gain momentum so watch this space. Also, the Asian Club Championships were on this weekend. Results to come soon!

Asian Touch Club Championships - Kuala Lumpur June 7-8

Well, it is back again. The Asian Touch Club Championships in Kuala Lumpur June 7-8. Time to work on your fitness and register your interesting with Louise Leonard.
